Great food, decent service even for a large group. I think our server was the only person working the front that day so things took a little while, but it was worth it. Everyone in our group of 15 or so people was really happy with their choices.

If someone mentions Indian food and you immediately think about tandoori, paneer, lassi, daal, tikka masala and biryani, then you are mostly familiar with Punjabi, the cuisine of Northern India. It wouldn't be a surprise as it's the most popular and most well known of all the many cuisines of the Indian Subcontinent.
One of the signature dishes from this region is Chicken Tikka Masala ($12.95) and it's a delicious dish of yoghurt marinated chicken in a velvety tomato sauce. It's mildly seasoned with an aromatic fusion of sautéed tomato, onion, red pepper, green chilies, coriander, cumin, turmeric and fenugreek seed that are all blended together in a dish that makes a perfect comfort food. Served steaming hot with a side of fresh basmati rice, it will quickly warm you up on a cold winter's day.
Now the more culinary adventurous might want to try the Chicken Chettinad ($12.95). Not very well known, this fiery curry hails from the Tamil Nadu region in the very southern part of India. This fragrant dish has chunks of chicken swimming in a gravy of yogurt, turmeric, chilies, coconut, coriander, cumin, fennel, black pepper, ground nuts, onions, garlic and gingery oil. It all comes together in a surprising mashup of flavors and textures. It's an intriguingly spicy dish and one that I plan to enjoy again sometime.
There's a whole menu of familiar and not so familiar Indian dishes to explore here. New Taj Mahal is on my list of places to return to as the food here is as good as any other Indian restaurant I've tried here in The Capital City.
Weighing everything all together, it's about 4 stars.

They participate on Groupon, worth checking out. (~30% off)
Service here is typical Indian. Don't expect them to hover over you and be at your beck and call.
Their lunch buffet is a solid enough with offering that are a little heavy on the vegetarian options but with enough choices to satisfy and fill up most anyone for under $10.
Don't use their delivery service.

I was being generous with the 2 stars but since this place was on the news for multiple health code violations not fixed I am giving it a 1 star.

My mom and I went to the lunch buffet. My mom has bragged about this place for a long time, but I had never been there before. This is the worst Indian buffet I've had in a really long time. Nothing was even remotely spicy, and lacked flavor. The buffet was really small. I got some chicken biriyani, and there was barely any chicken in the dish (we were the first and only customers, otherwise I might have thought someone had taken all the chicken). I've had better Indian frozen dinners. I also noticed that the server kept watching us, which made me feel awkward. I think I was hungrier when I left than when I went in.

Had chicken kadhai because we were recommended and it was good. Did not have a chance to try more dishes here
